By order of the four High Kings, a list of laws has been made and ordered to be sent out to the creatures that inhabit the lands they preside over.
The laws pertaining to violence and battle:
-The killing of children is hereby forbidden. Even in lion prides new leader males are prohibited from the slaughter of the previous male's cubs. This is punishable by immediate death.
-Murder without reason or means to eat is also forbidden. Kill only what you need and when you must. Failure to obey will result in death.
-Invasion of others territory with intentions of taking over must be consulted with the High King of that district. Failure to obey will result in imprisonment.
-Young males who are not in charge of prides must report to the Royal Pride and join the guards in times of war. Failure to obey will result in banishment.
Laws pertaining to non-royal prides
-If a group of lions wishes to form a new pride entirely, they must consult the High King of that region and will be granted with a portion of land. If they wish for royal protecion, they must give up their firstborn cubs to join the Royal Pride. If they refuse this, the High King will not grant them protection.
-All young males at the age of 2 must be kicked out of their birth pride to either take over another, start their own, or join the Royal Pride.
-There may only be one Leader per pride.
Laws Pertaining to mating season and children
-The Royal Harem belongs to the High King only, and other lions may NOT challenge him for one of his females unless he wishes to completely take over the pride as well.
-The rest of the Royal Pride females may pick and choose between different suitors during season.
-Only the Leader of a non royal pride is allowed to mate during this season.
-The firstborn male cub of the High King will be his succesor. Should they die, the next eldest male cub will take his place.
- If the Leader of a non-royal pride dies, the sons that have not been evicted will protect their mothers, aunts and sisters until a new male comes. They must still leave at the age of two.
These laws must be obeyed to the fullest. The High King's word is law.
